The Core Challenge
Online meetings were frequently disrupted due to unverified devices such as microphones, cameras, and unstable internet connections. These issues led to delays, reduced meeting efficiency, and repeated manual troubleshooting before sessions.
The goal was to build a lightweight system that could automatically check device readiness before meetings and provide instant feedback to users.
Architectural Process
A disciplined three-phase approach to engineering a legacy-proof data ecosystem.
Problem Analysis
Analyzed common issues in online meeting setups and identified key checkpoints (camera, microphone, connection quality).
System Design
Designed a browser-based solution using client-side technologies to perform real-time device checks without additional setup.
Implementation
Developed the system using Next.js and browser APIs to test video, audio, and connectivity, and provide user-friendly feedback.
Integrated Technologies
System Topology Draft
Hardware Node Mapping
Measurable Outcomes
Data Accuracy
Achieved through automated validation gates and error-handling protocols.
Annual Time Saved
Reduction in manual data processing and reconciliation tasks per team.
